116 Intermission short-term study abroad

 How are you all doing?

I - the Marquis of Rion Faux Baldfart - am still struggling to live today.

Currently, I have been kicked out of the Holfert Kingdom under the guise of short-term study abroad and am attending a foreign school.

It's strange to be in a foreign country.

I feel like the air smells different.

More than that, I can't forgive a kingdom that kicked out a hero who saved his country on the name of studying abroad and treats him like he's on his own, even though he has a fiancée.

I'm thinking of rebelling against the kingdom, but I've decided to stay on, because even if I defeat the kingdom, it will be too much trouble afterwards.

My own kindness, loyalty, and integrity are holding me back here.

When you destroy a country, it's not all about building a new country or being troublesome.

They can't bear the thought of having to shed the blood of so many people if they fight the kingdom.

Please don't make a mistake there.

Now that we've had a long escape from reality, let's revisit the situation.

'You two, don't fight for me!

He was uttering a line that sounded trite when Marie said it.

Beyond that, two men are facing each other, trying to draw their pistols in their waist holsters.

The two men, dressed like gunmen in a western movie, were students who were locals from the place we were studying for a short period of time.

'Paul, you've been a good friend. But I'm not giving you Marie.

"That's fine with me, Kevin. But I'll take you down and I'll take Marie. I'm going to beat you and I'm going to take Marie.

I was dumbfounded by the two men who were dueling, shooting quickly for Marie - with revolver-style pistols.

Luxion, who was floating around my right shoulder, was wondering.

''How did this happen?''

'You see, I didn't understand a word of what we said, but Marie was flippantly replying to me, and it got tiresome.

I don't know what is being said, but yes! It was Marie's fault for saying that.

The two men in front of her declared that they were Marie's boyfriend.

They should have questioned Marie for making a mistake here, but even if it's rotten, it's still a maiden game.

They don't pretend to blame a woman.

It's the other man who's to blame!

 So, let's have a fight!

--I'd like to have Luxion find out what kind of thought process he's using.

'Stop it, both of you! You were wrong! I'm--

 Paul was smiling at Marie.

Paul, with his frown, was a handsome man.

'Don't cry, Marie--this is our problem.

And Kevin, an equally handsome man, calls out to me in an equally cool way.

'It won't take long. Let's have our wedding in front of Paul's grave.

They thought he was a cool character, but he was just a silly character.

You're getting married in a graveyard?

Doesn't a priestly person get angry?

I mean, I don't think you should bury your friends for Marie.

'Master, won't you clear up any misunderstandings?'

I think it's Marie's fault, though.

A crying Marie squirms on to me.

'Aniegii! Daggedy!

Looking at Marie, who is seriously crying, I gave Luxion a hand sign.

Moving one eye vertically and showing a nodding gesture, Luxion deploys his shield.

-- between the two of us facing each other.

''Pooh-oh-oh!

I toss a coin, and just as I fall to the ground, two of them reach for their holsters and pull out their guns.

When I hear the shots overlap - they are both stunned.

One of them should go down.

That's what they thought, but neither of them were going to go down unharmed.

'd*mn it!

If Paul pulled the trigger and shot repeatedly, Kevin would move quickly and hide in the shadows.

When Paul ran out of ammunition, he would turn his head and shoot back - a battle was going on.

Both men were amazed at how well they were handling their guns and not getting hit.

An invisible wall between the two of them - a shield is deployed, so no bullets can reach them.

After firing all the bullets they had, the two of them collapse to their knees.

''What do you mean?''

Frowning - no, Paul was looking at his hands.

 Ditto for Kevin, the fool.

Then they looked up at each other - exchanged glances and laughed a small smile.

'What do you think is going to happen?'

Will melee combat be the next step?

They laughed at each other and approached each other and hugged each other's shoulders, contrary to Luxion's expectations, who decided that they would still fight.

'It's a draw. We can't shoot this much and not get hit. Apparently the Goddess of Victory has given us a draw.'

Paul, you don't understand. Our muse--Marie, right?

I'm losing my senses when I get one toothless line after another.

We're a country that says this kind of dialogue on a daily basis, and I'm starting to not care anymore.

 Marie is relieved.

'Thank God. I'm glad one of us didn't die!'

Marie is relieved that people didn't die because of her, but the misunderstanding hasn't been resolved at all.

As the two men give a thumbs-up, they say to Marie.

'Marie is a goddess to both of us, isn't she?'
Yeah, the three of us, we're in this together forever.

No, we're foreign students and we're going back home, right?

And Marie has five other bastards in her--oh, six? But seven if you count Kyle?

-- Anyway, this guy is a woman who doesn't deserve the title of Goddess of Victory.

'Oh, you know what? Both of you, I have lovers--

Marie began to make an excuse, but Luxion turned his gaze in a different direction.

''You are our next customer, Master.''

Wow, there are so many of them.

Rifles, shotguns, and bazookas - men with a variety of firearms arrived.

 Their target was Marie.

'Marie, we're here for you.
"I'm going to turn all you misunderstood bastards into a beehive!
'You guys, Marie is my girlfriend. You lay a hand on her, I'll blow you off.

--I guess these guys were mistaken, too.

Marie was moving her head awkwardly, looking at me, her cheeks pulled back and laughing.

'Oh, brother--help me.'

 I shake my head.

'So I told you to be more careful in your replies.

'I don't think he's going to confess to me out of the blue! As soon as you meet them, you think you've confessed and gotten an okay - how could you expect that!

 Marie has a good point.

But there's not much I can do about it.

Good luck.

As I cheered, I saw Marie on the ground on her hands and knees, crying.

'Help me, Onii-chan!

 --Holphart Kingdom.

In the school's girls' dormitory, Angel and Livia's faces were red as they got the mail they received from Leon printed out as a letter.

The hand holding the letter is trembling.

''I, what the hell is going on?''

The reason Angier is shaking is because the letter has a lot of toothpickin' sentences in it, like my goddess, my love, etc.

Livia is red to her ears.

'What's wrong with you, Rion-san?'

They looked happy, and Cleare thought about earning points for Leon.

(Chance!) (I'll try to counteract my mistake with this.)

After turning Aaron into Arle-chan, Cleare has to make Leon take credit for his achievements at all costs.

I'm sure he'll be pissed off, so he needs to cover for himself somewhere.

''I'm sure Master has grown up, too. Didn't you go through a lot of things while you were studying abroad?''

"-Growing up? Various?

Livia nodded her head at that, then put her hand over her mouth and muttered.

'Could it be, Rion-san - another woman in the area?

While Angier neatly folded the letter, his face, which had been embarrassed earlier, changed to a straight face.

 --I'm afraid of my eyes.

''--I didn't think you'd try to fool me with your words after I told you to say it first.

Huh?

Contrary to Clairé's expectations, the two of them prepare an email of protest against Leon.

'Angel, let's deal with it harshly here.

'Yes. Claire, I'll have a reply sent to you at once.

"-- what? Why does that happen?

Cleare was going to make more mistakes here.
