113-Interlude Gal Garnis, near Rodnea

Gal Ganis was on the run.

A single transition from that dead place to the outside of Rodnea.
From there, he repeated the transition many times, until he reached a place where the city walls were hazy.
After my magic power ran out, I just ran as fast as I could.
Even though I hadn't gone much further, I was out of breath and my legs were tangled. But I couldn't stop.

''d*mn........d*mn........''

 I was afraid to stop.
It's hard to believe now that I was going to stand up to the boy right then and there.

 Zormunem would not be alive.
I can't get the burning red wave of heat I saw just before the transition out of my mind.

All of his friends were dead.
Everyone who was so strong, everyone who was so strong, couldn't do anything to that one boy.

 How could this have happened?
Who could have foreseen such an existence?

"That's the Demon King, huh? Oh no....that's ridiculous........!

I don't know how Zormnem came to that fact.
But now, I am the only one who knows about this.
The king of the demon tribe no, every race must be informed of this crisis.
This is the mission left for me now. I must fulfill Zormunem's dying wish at all costs.

Suddenly, Gal Ganis turned his attention to the road ahead.
In the distance, on the road, he could see a carriage heading in the direction of Rodnea.
Is it a hawker? Although it was a wagon, it was not accompanied by any kind of escort.

Gal Ganis felt that he was slowly calming down.
It was still a long way to the Demon Race territory. Ahead, they would have to resupply many times. As long as he was no longer alone, he would not be able to miss even a single opportunity.
In addition, today, the sun will soon be setting. I've been able to get away from Rodnea quite a bit. Even the Demon King, as expected, wouldn't be able to locate his current position and chase after this distance.

For now, I'll attack that carriage to get food and find a place for the night camp.
That would be best for now.

Gal Ganis floats a magical flame as he runs to the carriage.
He can't do large-scale transitions anymore, but he can use it for simple fire magic or so, no problem. And that's enough for now.

As Gal Ganis releases the flames----.

H...........

Suddenly, blood spat out of his mouth.

The flames that were floating in the air disappeared. The young man of the demon tribe fell to the ground, tangling his legs.
While chewing on the soil, he looked at his chest, which was in sharp pain----as if he had been pierced by a long blade, blood was flowing out of a longitudinally running linear wound.

''What........''

When and how was it put on? Gal Ganis had no idea.
But - - he had an idea of who it was.

'What... what is that... what is that... that's the Demon King...?

I can feel my consciousness flowing out with the blood.
A chill covers my entire body.

 It's impossible.
Even in the lore, the Demon King ... didn't have this kind of power.
 It's too different.
It's as if.......as if the world they live in is different.

"That Demon King........what.......

Not long after the last muttering - the demon's breathing stopped.

The heroes of the demon tribe who had set out to avenge the brave man had all died out in this way.
