456 CHAPTER 455 "Treasure and Gear"

The Great Front of the Walled City of Garou Amalia. The Garouamarian army and the Borvat frontal army are still facing each other as they did on the first day, but in contrast to the battle at the back gate, they have yet to take a step forward.

All they could do was let their silver gleams shine in the sunlight. Not a single soldier made a move.

No, they couldn't move, to be exact. On the battlefield, everyone is prepared to die. We can't say we don't have fear, but we can accept it.

But still, I didn't want to be crushed to death by a force I couldn't even imagine.

The battlefield sky. The heat rays rained down as if looking down from the heavens.

The air itself is scorched, and even as it reveals its maniacal nature, the glittering jewel shines. The sorcerer, the jewel Bau-Agathos, runs through the air with his true red hair and white eyes shining. It was as if he was saying that he was the ruler of the hollow.

On the other hand, there is an inorganic puppet walking on the ground. Its amber eyes reflected no emotion whatsoever. The demon, Cogwheel Laboure, greeted the heat rays with an indifferent look.

A violent heat ray that can burn a human in the blink of an eye is an undeniable threat even to Lovell. I don't know what would have happened if she had been hit in the flesh.

But in all her life, she had never been in the flesh.

Laboure's legs transformed, and her figure became less and less that of a doll. It is no longer a leg, but a sharp blade itself.

"Jewel of Bhau-Agath. Your king is dead. And you still resist? Immediately, seal the source.

In an instant, Laboure swung his massive magic leg to cut off the heat ray and slash it away. And the next, and the next. The flashes of glittering gems were all forced to change their trajectory before the magic leg.

The jewels swayed in the air, saying vexingly.

If the king is dead, why not make me king? First of all, that's for you to say, Lovell. Your king is the same. Oh, I'm sorry. You've never even seen a king before, have you? Because before you were born, your whole race died out. So you haven't even been baptized a king-- how does it feel to be unborn?

Even after being dealt a heat ray, Agathos did not weaken his momentum. The only thing there was a storm of flashes that contained such emotion that it crushed the existence of the gears with all its might. If that flash were to be used in earnest, it would easily wipe out Borvat's army. That's how violent it is.

But Lovell cut it down head-on and jumped as he did so. He drives his magic leg and faces Agathos with increasing ferocity.

For Labur, the hollow is never far away. Even running through it is easy. That's because she is a demoness of the sky god.

The blade of the magic leg flies in the air, and makes a strange sound to slaughter Agathos' head, or even the body itself. He screamed as the space was cut off and his body was abducted.

Laboure opens his mouth without moving a single eyebrow.

I don't know what you mean, sir. I don't know what you mean, but it's better than dying in the stigma of defeat. I will settle this matter immediately.

The jewel shoots down the blade that is eating at the air with a beam of heat. At the same moment, the next blade aimed at Agathos' belly and was again intercepted by the heat ray.

This continued several times. From the sidelines, it was difficult to even follow with the eyes. Each heat ray, each swing of the magic leg, is the ultimate in condensed evil.

If you were to face them with a mere sword, you would surely be obliterated in an instant. The way they bare their fangs at each other is both terrifying and strangely beautiful.

However, the antagonism that has been going on for a while is now over. No, maybe they weren't even in conflict.

Clearly, Agathos had begun to lose his momentum. The heat rays couldn't catch Lovell, and Lovell's magic legs kept increasing their awe-inspiring speed and sharpness.

It was no wonder. Agathos was still using his body as a substitute. There is a limit to its maximum firepower.

And Lovell, because of his origin, would always win unless he was killed by a single blow. That's why Agathos had to overwhelm her with all his might.

Now that he was unable to do so, the end of this battle is beginning to be seen.

Agathos clicked his tongue in his chest. Because of his pride, he did not distort his expression, but frustration still arose in him.

If this continues, it is as if his defeat has been decided. However, if you continue to increase the output, it is Leu's soul that will scream.

If he fills his body with magic power, his limbs will belong to Agathos, and what little remains of his soul will also disappear.

Normally, there is no reason to hesitate in doing so. No, there shouldn't be. He had said that he would show Leu the ugliness of humanity, but it was easy to calculate how the scales would tip when compared to his own life.

Agathos felt his throat growl. I don't have enough magic. Even now, a crazy amount of magic power is contained in each of the heat rays that emanate from the jewel. It couldn't go on that long.

As if he saw this, Lovell opened his mouth while raising his magic leg.

"The jewel Bau Agathos. I'll tell you one more time. Seal the originals. There's no reason for you to care about humans. They are weak and have nothing to offer. They have no meaning or value. Their only function is to return their stored magic to us in death. Decide immediately.

The flash of the magic leg had finally begun to reach Agathos' body. Fresh blood spurted out from his arm, staining the sky. Every part of Agathos's body began to make unpleasant noises. It would only take one more blast of heat.

Agathos had to agree with what Laboure said.

Kill and eat humans. That's what demons do. The role of human beings is that of cattle that die and spit out the magic they have stored up and offer it to the demonic. Agathos thinks that is probably what Lovell is doing this time.

The concentration of magic power in this world now is too low compared to the time when Agathos was born and raised. The cause is clear. Demonic nature, the root of demons, has disappeared, and Althea has formulated demons and taken away their essence.

Eventually, even the original concept of demons may disappear from this world. To prevent that from happening, Laboure probably chose to kill a lot of people. It is certainly much more efficient than going around killing them one by one.

And so the humans, unable to resist, continue to kill their own kind in order to spare their own lives.

Human beings are still ugly and weak. Agathos had no intention of denying that. Breathing a little hard, Agathos runs through the air.

But... There's one thing I can't accept. And so Agathos, the demon, never nods his head in disapproval.

"Huh? What's not worth it?

 I don't agree.

Agathos opens his jewel-like eyes and grits his teeth. He could taste blood for the first time in a long time. He raises his arms vigorously and clenches his fists. One swing to shoot down Laboure.

Of course, Laboure was there to intercept him, and so he unleashed his magic leg to rip out his heart. The sound was lost and the sky was cut off.

For a moment, Agathos caught a glimpse of physical death. But even so, her thoughts remained unchanged.

Agathos saw many people. Some people were willing to give up their lives to save someone else. Others gave their love to protect someone else, without even considering their own danger.

And another man, burdened with a painful past and on the verge of death, sought to help others.

He was too weak to have a source of his own. And yet, carrying everything on their shoulders, they came here. A mere child of man.

 --How beautiful it is!

A red head of hair sits in the sky. His white eyes opened with a majestic gesture, and for a moment Agathos regained his stature.

His long limbs and feminine body are the very manifestation of beauty. This is what the heyday of the jewel is all about.

She then used the last of the jewel's heat rays to push her body forward, in the opposite direction of Lovell. It was no longer just a matter of sight, but of acceleration that would send human flesh flying.

For a moment, Lovell's reaction was delayed. Agathos knows very well that she can't react to something she hasn't seen before.

"They are more beautiful than you who boast nothing but strength, Lovell.

There is a dull sound. A fist of great speed, accelerated by the heat rays, was catching the body of Lovell, as if to shatter the space itself.
