305 34 words: "He who was in the presence of the enemy...

"God is so great, huh?

The villain grumbles, his purple light shimmering in the darkness. But he doesn't seem to be in the best shape.

His feet are slightly wobbly, and his shoulders are shifting up and down in a way that is unimaginable in normal times. He has wounds all over his body, and he looks like he has wounds all over his body.

The white blade that had pierced his body must have been forcibly pulled out. His body was filled with so much blood that the bright green of his uniform was no longer visible.

He looked like he was on the verge of death. He was in no condition to offer a hand to anyone. Reaching out and helping out is something that only those who can afford to do so do.

A poor man gives money to a beggar. Would a man who is not sure of his own tomorrow lend a hand to the sorrow of others? They wouldn't.

It's not evil. Nor is it to be abused. Rather, if someone is willing to give up everything to help others, then something necessary in humanity is broken.

You once said so yourself. So why...

Kalia's silver eyes widened in shock as she looked at Lugis' back. As she looked at the blood oozing out of him, she struggled to form words in her mouth.

Why did you come? Don't do anything stupid. What do you think I stayed here for? Hurry up and get out of here.

In my head, words to deny Lugis's actions were all lined up at once. Her lips rippled as she tried to speak them over and over.

But in the end, all of them were shoved down my throat before they could escape my lips.

In my rational mind, I understand. It's impossible for someone to come back to save the day, it's ridiculous, it's a joke.

That's what I should say. Kalia's thoughts repeated themselves over and over, but her lips closed tightly without her knowing. The reason for this was obvious.

Oh, I'm such a weak woman. What a despicable woman. I shouldn't even want the love of my life to do something so dangerous.

But when I'm offered it, my cheeks flush and relax. I can't even imagine how ecstatic I look right now. I don't think I could show this to anyone.

Lugis, with his back to Kalia, said.

"Come on, come on, Karia. Who's going to protect me if you die so easily?

He said in his usual joking tone, even at a time like this. There's really no room for that, is there?

He's an idiot, that's for sure. He must be an idiot. But then again, I'm probably a fool for letting such a single word get to me.

What, I'm not in a bad mood. Kalia's lips rippled as she let the words slip out. The words that had been frantically forming in her head until just now had all disappeared before she knew it.

"Don't be stupid. I'm not going to die so easily. Even if you don't want to, I won't leave you.

Kalia felt her own voice rising slightly. She twisted the edges of her lips as if to bite down on her embarrassment.

However, such a sweet aftertaste soon faded away. The gold, even after having its magic thread cut, showed no sign of being frightened and turned its gaze towards you.

 Its piercingly shining eyes widened.

It's a wonderful appearance. You are the knight of the heroic tale.

The words of praise for Lugis carry no weight at all. The only thing I can say is that the way he just spits out the sound without any emotion is almost eerie.

The gold waves its lips and continues to speak.

"So, what are you going to do now, Lugis? The one called Vice. After all, there is nothing you can do about it.

The voice was emotionless, but now it had a quietness and pressure that reminded me of the depths of the ocean. It doesn't sound like the kind of voice that speaks to people. It was a voice that made me feel that there was indeed some kind of intense emotion there.

In response, Lugis cowered his shoulders and said. I couldn't see the expression on his face.

"Well... I'm trying to figure out a way to get rid of the annoying demons and have it all be over peacefully, Altius.

If you think you're all-powerful, could you tell us about it? I'm not sure what to make of that. The sword neighed and tore through the sky as if responding to its master.

Artius, the God of Salvation. Lugis pointed at the woman in front of him and addressed her with the name of the sole god of the Great Sacred Faith. Is that a sarcastic reference to the saint, or is it really a manifestation of the divine spirit there?

Kalia frowns, unaware. She felt a strange heaviness in her throat. Her brain nodded, knowing that his words were a kind of fantasy, but if that was the case, it would be much easier to understand.

I'm not sure what to make of it. It's easier to think of him as a god than a demon in the face of such a monster.

I'm sure you'll be able to figure out what's going on.

"Well, then... You should think about it. You can think about it until your heart rots. I forgive you.

The gold opens. The hair on her head waved through the air with a graceful gleam.

There was a hard sound. Altius took a step toward him, stomping on the stone floor. It felt as if he was being strangled by a hand.

Her breath was choked, and each breath was accompanied by a dull ache. Kalia bit her lip, her body wobbling.

 So this is his hostility.

A moment ago, when he had received his sword, Altius had only acted as if he were playing with a child. He was not an enemy, he was just a being who had come to play with him.

But now, with Lugis in front of him, there is a definite hostility in his golden eyes. I don't know the exact reason, but I can even see a hint of wetting my tongue in abhorrence.

What emerges from the hostility is a dark vision of death. A sense of intimidation, as if the world itself were falling down.

Altius took another step closer, calling out to Lugis. I can't breathe.

"I will not kill you. Instead, I'm going to let you rot once more. I will show you that you have nothing - no will, no dignity, not even a thought.

"I'm sorry, but you'll only rot.

I'm sorry, but I'm tired of rotting away my life. If you like to write scripts, bring something brand new to the table.

Kalia's eyelids blinked involuntarily as Rougis spoke these words. Her silver hair brushed the air softly.

He said the same thing he always said. But Kalia had a strange intuition.

There was a mood, a spirit, that leaked from every word. It was telling her one thing.

Lugis looked into Kalia's silver eyes for a moment. Then, in a voice that only Kalia could hear, he whispered.

--I'm asking you two to leave. No, we're just going to make a quick detour. Keep the way open.

Run ahead, Lugis said. Hearing this, Kalia knows her instincts are right.

Rougis must be prepared to die here. In order to keep herself alive, and to find a way to save her childhood friend.

Kalia's silver eyes narrowed, distorted. And then she snickered and said something back. In her heart, her emotions were complicated and intertwined.

"No. I just told you. I just told you I'm not leaving you even if you don't want me to. And I'm not just a woman who's going to cling to your back forever.

As she stood beside Lugis, Kalia raised her cheeks and said to no one in particular. It's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for.
