680 Episode 0680

That night, soldiers on guard in the Third Prince's camp hear a rustling sound.
It sounded like a giant bird fluttering, but now it's night. I think most birds, except owls and other birds, should be unable to move, but I wonder if it's a monster attack? I look at the moonlight sky.
This is a relatively remote part of the territory of the Earl of Obrissin, not far from the road leading to the imperial capital.
That being the case, we regularly exterminate monsters, and above all, large-scale extermination for travelers heading to the imperial capital ahead of the competition.
However, many monsters fly away as soldiers, knights and adventurers approach them, and return when they are gone. Harpy, in particular, often used cunning wisdom because he was not very good at it and had a high level of intelligence.
If any monster attacks you, you must call for support immediately.
Even thinking of the possibility that a Dragon Knight of the Imperial Army may have come to the night attack, he holds his spear in his other hand with the magic whistle given to him when he watches... the next moment he sees the presence descending from the air in front of his eyes and stops moving.
It was as powerful as Harpy.
In size, it would be smaller than the Weiburn operated by the Dragon Knight. But the power of the body is overwhelming enough to make Wyvern look like a little lizard.
Furthermore, at the sight of the soldier, the person on the back of his existence lands on the ground in a motion that does not make him feel any weight, and approaches him.
Who is it? I wanted to scream and blow a magic whistle, but before that, the figure spoke.

"Is this the position of the third prince?"

The words force the soldier to swallow the words he was about to shout.
The third prince's faction, considering his words, did not feel any hostility at all.
I know we are supposed to have rebelled against the Empire. That being the case, I thought that the Emperor's first prince, Kabazid, had come to carry out the night attack, but as far as this is concerned, it does not seem so. In fact, the friendly appearance makes us feel as if we were on our side.
That's why soldiers stop trying to whistle and open their mouths.
For a moment, this is the other person's hand, and he's trying to kill himself by taking advantage of this opportunity. Such a question passes through my mind, but if I have a monster with a huge presence in front of my eyes, I think it's not difficult to defeat me without doing so.

"...who are you?"

Still, it's only natural for a watchman to ask like this.

"Rank B adventurer Ray. Well, would it be easier for me to say to the people of the Westian Empire, Ray in crimson?"

The watchman opens his eyes wide at the remark that comes out of Ray's mouth.
Ray in crimson. Any military official who doesn't know the name... No, no one in the public would know the name.
I can't see everything on my face because I'm wearing a hood. Still, within the range of the moonlight, she did not seem to have the power to change the war completely, either as a child or as a woman.
It may also be influenced by the absence of a scythe, which is a synonym for crimson.
But... still, the watchman decides that it's crimson in front of him.
The clearest evidence than the scythe... was that the Gryphon was before us. It has already been widely known that crimson is subservient to Gryphon.
And even Rank A adventurers find it difficult to imitate the rank A monster Gryphon.
That being the case, it was only natural for the watchman to judge that crimson was in front of him.

"Well, I'm still surprised. You say you have a position in the Earl of O'Brisin, and if you thought you had your base in a town or village, you never thought you were in a deserted place."

Ray's casual muttering might have relieved some of the tension in the watch. open one's mouth with a small smile

"It seems that if the base was in a place with people, the average person would be involved in a battle. Even though it looks like that, Count Obrissin has a side of the people's mind. ...and back to what is crimson here to do? It doesn't seem to me to be hostile."
"Glu?"

He must have reacted to the word hostile. Seto gazes at the sentry, purring.
Regardless of Ray, if Sett looks at him that way, he has to be nervous as a soldier. Rank A monsters are that big.

"Calm down. Seth doesn't want to do anything about you. I'm just a little curious."
"Grull?"

Seto was hanging his head asking, "What's the matter?" But the watchman's movements were still firm.
This is no good. When Ray decides so, he gives up trying to get Sett used to it and opens his mouth.

"Anyway, it's true that the third prince's faction is here, isn't it? Then there must be Vihela and Theorem, too. Tell him I'm here." and you'll understand it at once."
"... oh, oh, oh! Oh, I got it. Wait a minute."

Where did the momentary composure disappear, the sentry goes straight into the position.
Watching his back off, Ray suddenly thinks.

(It's also a problem that there's only one watchman, but can I just leave myself here and go report? If I'm a spy or something, I'm going to go in and do as many sabotage as I want... oh, no. Isn't it that easy?)

Looking into the position, Ray suddenly sees signs ahead. It's not just a hint. He seems to be a man of some ability.

(Perhaps the watch here was fishing bait. I'm guessing that the men of this sign will hunt for him who is caught up in it. Is the positioning of this position where you can see the aggressive elements, Vihela or Theoreum? They're both likely to do it, but they're not likely to do it.)

While I was thinking that way, the soldier I mentioned might have contacted me up. Ray's gaze suddenly makes a noise.

"Grull".

Seto scrapes his face against Ray, who is looking toward his position.
Watching the hungry look on his face, Ray gives Seto the dried meat from the mistling.

"Grull...rullllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

It's dried meat made in a long‐lasting empty house. The ingredients themselves are of the first quality, and it takes a lot of time to make them, and the dried meat is naturally delicious.
As I caress the set, happily gurgling at the time-consuming dried meat, I see a few figures coming from the back of the camp.
The autumn-like large round moon was clearly floating in the night sky, so it was not difficult for Ray, who originally had night vision, to distinguish the face of the approaching person.
However, when Ray sees the approaching people, he can't help but tilt his head.
There was the figure of Theoreum, and his deputy, the figure of Cyans. It's all right so far, but there's no Vihela.
Instead, there was a muscular, elderly man.
Furthermore, he's showing his fighting spirit all over his body, and when he sees the battleax in each hand, it's clear that he's not here to talk.

(Why is this coming out?)

Ray, who has a hunch of trouble for the man approaching him, breathes in his heart.
Did a knight or something come out who judged him to be an assassin from the Empire? I thought so, but the attitude of those around him indicated that he was in the right place.and the group, including Theoreum, finally reached Ray...

"Oh, are you Ray in crimson?" Mr. Vihela told me that it was quite strong, but I don't see it at all."

What? Do you judge this guy by his appearance?
The man laughs as if he understands what Ray is thinking when he mutters with his sigh in his heart.

"Well, the average fellow would say so,"
"Oh, ... Theoreum, what about him?"

He turns a little interested in his words and calls out to the Theorem next to him.
When he was approached, he bent his lips slightly and smiled at Ray's appearance.

"It's the Earl of Obrissin," When Mr. Vihela was in the empire, he was his subordinate. He plays a very important role among us in terms of military strength."
"Vyhela's... you know,"

Ray muttered in spite of Theoreum's words, but the people around him heard the muttering.
That's probably the case. It can be said that he was the greatest military force in the third prince's faction, and that he was the most powerful person in the group, judging from the fact that he adored the third prince Mercurio. That's because it's Vihela.
But Ray doesn't seem to care about what's going on around him and continues to ask Theorem in front of him.

"And what's the essential Vihela?"
"I'm on vacation," It's already midnight in the first place. All that's happening now is a sentry who seems to have informed us of Ray's arrival."

They seem to leave what's happening for now.
Count Obrissin, watching Ray and Theoreme communicate, eventually wields a big one-handed battleax.
Of course it wasn't a blow aimed at Ray. Shaking toward empty space, Battleax makes the sound of breaking the air of the night.

"Why, don't you be so mean as to ignore me?" I have been anxious to see you since I heard your story from Mr. Vihela.
"I don't know what you've said, but we might end up on our side. Don't you think it's necessary to fight?"

I realize that there is a battle junkie in front of me that looks like a Vihela, but I tell him so at the end of my life.
But Count Obrissin shook his head silently, and then opened his mouth, clasping his hands at the battleax.

"You may be well known for having a different name." But I can't accept it unless I check your ability with my own eyes. So... don't you die? I'll go!"

As soon as he cried out, Count Obrissin, holding his battleaxes in his hands, shrinks his distance from Ray.
The armor I'm wearing is a breast armour made of metal, but it's so fast that I can't feel its weight at all.
The Battle Ax swings towards Ray, with the right hand swinging vertically and the left hand swinging horizontally.
The cross-shaped attack, however, cuts through the air with Ray's light backward leap.
Landing back without making a sound, Ray pulls the death size out of the mistling.
It was easy to avoid this blow, but the smile on the face of Count O'Brisin's lips would tell you that they had done it on purpose to show their ability.

"Glu?"
"No, leave it to me,"

Ray nods back to Seto, who asks if he wants to help.
Seeing Ray's appearance, Seto must have realized that this is not a real fight... ...to kill each other. He hoarsely backed down and lay down on the grassy ground.

"Hmmm,"

Watching such a conversation with one of them, Count Obrissin snorted contently and looked at Ray's huge sickle.

(Is that death size? Don't feel the power of misfortune, for sure. The mere sight of this may have been a harvest.)

Whilst muttering in private, it is a waste to end the battle with this, and I would like to have a few more swords. With that in mind, I twist my mouth with a belligerent smile.
It would have been similar to Ray. It's not just the nobility by name that's in front of us, but by firm power.
 That's why...

"Now it's my turn,"

he muttered, kicking the ground in one gulp and closing in with the Earl of Obrisin.
Even so, he must be conscious that it would be unsavory to kill. It was a death-size stonemate that was bestowed upon the Earl of O'Brisin.
But if Ray was willing to do so, he would have no qualms about sticking through his metal armor.

"Huh!"

Shake down the stone-butt aimed at your pigeon to play with your battleax...
Along with the metallic clink, the swinger's battleax is played.
Count O'Brisin never thought his blow would be so easy, and Ray is surprised to learn it's a magic item from the feel of Battle Ax and Death Size hitting each other.
Just keep a distance from each other...

"That's it!"

With Theoreum's words, he lowered his arms.
