53-after-school library

There are five libraries in the Earthria Magic Academy, both large and small.

Among them, the large library has an unusually large number of books.
It is said that the school has one of the longest histories in the country, and even researchers from outside the school use the large library.

However, that is why there are so many people coming and going.
Although there is no one talking in the library, it is still interesting to see how people move around and how they flip through books.

That's why I check out books from the big library and spend my after-school hours in a small, less popular library.

It's on the third floor of a building on the west side that looks like a rook of a chess piece.

It's very quiet here, managed by a quiet librarian by himself.

Open the book, unfold the paper, and write.
The study of witchcraft is mainly done here. That's my daily routine.

Of course, I can do it in my room instead of researching in the library.

But I liked to look at the view of the library at this time of day, every day, at the setting sun.

The faint smell of books wafting in the room was the perfect way to ease my mind.

It was only when I started going to school that I got tired of it, but it wasn't bad if I could live in this kind of environment.

Suddenly the door to the entrance opened.
When I casually looked over, I saw a girl there who looked familiar.

'It's a coincidence. Abel was studying here too.

My face appears to be slightly red because of the western sun.

 But it's a coincidence.
I thought that I was the only one who liked to use this place, but if he calls it a coincidence, it must be a coincidence.

It's surprising. I didn't know you were the type to study in the library.

"...... that's out of my mind. What do you think I am?

Eliza took a seat in front of me and unfolded the textbook we were using for class.

'Aren't you going to do it Abel? Issue of the Day.

'Yeah. I'll do it in my room.

If it's only an assignment that's assigned in class, a few minutes before bed would be enough to get it all done.

Then, after a while, Eliza's hand stopped.
She glanced sideways. Is it the application part? Well, it's a trick question.

'...... There are two formulas involved there.

Huh. Really?

'Yeah. First, try to separate the former from the latter.

..........

'Yes. We'll take out the common denominator from there and calculate it later.

Oh, I see. So that's what you do!

Eliza seemed to have gotten the hang of it and began to solve the next problem with ease.

I see. You have a hundred times more application and comprehension skills than Ted.
If Ted's had this kind of groundwork, it would be a bit more challenging to teach.

And while I was teaching Eliza to study for a while, the sun went down and it was time to close the building.

Thank you. The way you teach us is very helpful. The way you taught it, it was very easy to understand.

Eliza told me that while I was putting the books away.
That's the extent of it. It's not like I did anything worthwhile to be thanked for it.

''Abel, do you always stay in the library to study?''

I was on my way out of the room and down the spiral staircase when Eliza asked me that question.

'Yes, but. Is there something wrong?'

It's not that I'm weird. You've come all this way to the city, why don't you go into town?

The city. Yeah. I haven't been there for a while. I have all the basic necessities from the store.

But there are things you can't find at school. There are things you can't find at school, such as a delicious meal and strange tasting fruits. Most of all, there are rare treats!

It's all about the food.

But of course there are lots of good places to go besides food! Yeah, like a used bookstore! You might be able to buy some cheap and unusual books!

An antique bookstore, eh? It's true that I'd like to stop by a bookstore of this era.

The reason for this is that the books in the library of the school are mainly written in the relatively modern era, and there are almost no books that were read 200 years ago when I was there.

'Hey. How about we go out on our next day off? I want to thank you for teaching me how to learn.

I don't mind.

So it's settled then! I know a lot about the royal capital. I know a lot of good restaurants.

Since then, Eliza has been happily talking about a recommended restaurant in the royal capital for a while.

At that time, the expression on Eliza's face seemed to be more lively than any other time.

 I see.

I think I understand why Eliza's body is so much more developed than girls her age.

About half of this woman's head must be filled with food at all times.
